Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A 54-year-old Juneau man arrested earlier this month after authorities seized $49,000 in illegal drugs was indicted by a Juneau grand jury Friday.
Darryl Anders was indicted on charges of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the second degree, misconduct involving a controlled substance in the third degree, attempted misconduct of a controlled substance in the second degree and attempted misconduct involving a controlled substance in the third degree.
Members of the Southeast Alaska Cities Against Drugs Task Force arrested Anders after they intercepted a package that contained 29 grams of heroin and 30 grams of methamphetamines on July 13.
Officers delivered the package to a location in the 400 block of 2nd Street and made the arrest.
Subsequent investigation and search warrants located another 34 grams of heroin and 88 grams of methamphetamine.
In another case, James Casto, 23, of Juneau, was indicted on robbery in the second degree charges. He was first arrested on June 5th for an alleged incident on June 3 that involved disorderly conduct and resisting arrest charges.
