Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - According to the order, which was signed Dec. 5, it will streamline and increase accountability of budget and policy administration within the executive branch.
Governor Mike Dunleavy has consolidated the budgetary function of 13 of the state’s 14 departments under the Office of Management and Budget.
According to the order, which was signed Dec. 5, it will streamline and increase accountability of budget and policy administration within the executive branch by "centralizing all significant administrative services oversight within the Office of Management and Budget in the Office of the Governor."
The departments affected are the Department of Administration, Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, Department of Corrections, Department of Education and Early Development, Department of Environmental Conservation, Department of Fish and Game, Department of Health and Social Services, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Department of Law, Department of Natural Resources, Department of Public Safety, Department of Revenue, and the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities.
Donna Arduin of the firm Arduin, Laffer & Moore is leading the OMB for the Dunleavy administration.
The Department of Military & Veterans Affairs is not covered by the order.
