
Kake, Alaska (KINY) - The Alaska Marine Highway System has contracted Goldbelt’s catamaran to bring people in for the weekend of the Kake Dog Salmon Festival.
The festival this year is set for Aug. 6 in Kake. The catamaran will depart Aug. 5 at 6 a.m. from Statter Harbor, and reach Kake at 1:30 p.m.
The return trip on Aug. 7 will depart Kake at 1 p.m. and arrive in Juneau at 8:30 p.m.
According to AMHS spokesperson Sam Dapcevich, tickets can be reserved at ferryalaska.com under the Sailing Search tab.
A maximum of 100 passengers can be booked, and no freight is allowed.
Flights are also available through Alaska Seaplanes.
