Fundraiser set for Friday in Juneau to benefit children of Ukraine

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The citizens of Juneau have an opportunity Friday evening to come to the aide of the people, and most notably, the children of war-torn Ukraine during a fundraiser this evening.

It is sponsored by the Juneau World Affairs Council and the Central Council Tlingit Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska.  All the proceeds will go to UNICEF's mission aimed at helping children caught in the crossfire of that war.

The fundraiser gets underway at  6 p.m. at the Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall on Willoughby Avenue.
