Freezer with human remains inside found in woods off roadway in Interior Alaska

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Human remains were found in a freezer in the woods near Mile 112 of the Tok Cutoff in Interior Alaska Monday morning.

    Alaska State Trooper dispatch received the report and sent Tok based Troopers to the scene who found the freezer with the remains inside about 100 feet from the roadway.

    The freezer and remains were taken to the State Medical Examiner in Anchorage for examination and identification.

    The investigation is ongoing, according to the Trooper dispatch.
