Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Two men were rescued by authorities Wednesday after they were stranded outside of Nenana.
Troopers were notified that the two were attempting to save two other men that had been stuck in overflow since Tuesday and taking shelter in a cabin, but had also gotten stuck.
They did not know their exact location.
Fairbanks-based wildlife troopers had determined their location and responded to Nenana with snow machines to attempt a rescue.
Air rescue was not possible with a trooper helicopter due to weather, so a US army helicopter was called.
Three of the four men were rescued, but one man opted to stay at the cabin.
