Four aggressive bears euthanized

Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) A sow and her three cubs were shot by state wildlife officials after they ripped into a tent with a person inside.

The Anchorage Daily news reported that the group of bears had become more aggressive toward campers.  They were killed at the Centennial Campground.  The state had tried discouraging the bears with bean bag rounds on multiple occasions but that didn't scare them off.

No one was injured at the campground.

Wildlife officials said they could not find a licensed wildlife facility in Alaska or the lower 48 that would have taken the cubs.
