FEMA awards almost $6 million to ANTHC for repairs

Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) - The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium was awarded $5.9 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for damages caused by the November 2018 earthquake.

The money will go to repairing the administrative building, parking lot, and Healthy Communities Building, all located in Anchorage.

FEMA is covering about 75% of the cost--total damages from the earthquake are estimated at almost $8 million. Part of the repairs will include mitigation measures to prevent similar outcomes for future events.
