Fatal fire under investigation in Pilot Point

Pilot Point, Alaska (KINY) - Human remains were found inside a home after a structure fire early Monday.

Alaska State Troopers said they responded after a call from the Village Public Safety Officer about a structure fire with a possible fatality.

 

The structure was deemed a total loss and the cause of the fire is now being investigated by the Deputy Fire Marshal.  No foul play is suspected. 

 

Troopers have established the identification of the victim and have sent the remains to the state medical examiner for positive identification.
