Expect tighter airport security

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) The new security procedures implemented this fall at Alaska's three largest airports, are expected to be at all Alaska airports soon.

The National Transportation Security agency will require passengers to place all electronics larger than a cell phone into screening bins by Mid-December.  These procedures were put into place in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau in recent months.

Airport officials said all passengers should expect a slightly longer wait when going through airport security due to the new regulations.
