
Noorvik, Alaska (KINY) - Gov.-elect Mike Dunleavy and Lt. Gov.-elect Kevin Meyer will be sworn in at 11:55 a.m. by Judge Paul Roetman at Aqqaluk High School and Noorvik Elementary School.
Governor-elect Mike Dunleavy will be sworn in as the 12th Governor of Alaska on Monday.
Dunleavy’s transition team has announced that he will arrive at his inauguration in Noorvik via a non-stop flight from Anchorage. A trip via snowmachine, which had previously been floated as an option by Dunleavy's team, was canceled.
Dunleavy and Lt. Gov.-elect Kevin Meyer will be sworn in at 11:55 a.m. by Judge Paul Roetman at Aqqaluk High School and Noorvik Elementary School.
On Dec. 4, the official Inaugural Celebration will be held in Wasilla, the current home of Governor-elect Dunleavy and his family.
The governor's mansion open house in Juneau is set for Dec. 11.
