Drowning reported in west Alaska river

    Napakiak, Alaska (KINY) - Alaska State Troopers said a missing person was identified as the drowning victim.

    Troopers received a report of human remains floating in the river near Napakiak on June 21.
    Troopers from Bethel responded and recovered the remains and send them to the State Medical Examiners Office in Anchorage for identification. The remains were later identified as those of missing person, Stacey Hoagland.
    Hoagland was first reported missing in September 2018 after a boating incident.
