Drills ongoing for police and fire

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Juneau Police and Firemen are taking part in a joint training exercise at the Public Safety building today.

    The drill began at 8 am and will continue until 4 pm today.

    Police officers will be working on situations like high-risk search warrants and arrest warrants.  Other scenarios will include active shooters with
    hostages and fortification.

    The teams will be using flashbangs that create noise and light.

    The training is designed to boost collaboration between CBJ law enforcement and Emergency medical personnel.
