Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Like many things, the pandemic has waylaid plans this year to conduct a Martin Luther King, Junior ceremony Monday, but Dr. King will still be remembered by a Day of Service event.
The Juneau Black Awareness Association will conduct a food and diaper drive from Noon to 3 p.m. Monday at the Mendenhall Mall and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at IGA Foodland.
The association's Sherry Patterson will be a guest on Action Line Monday to talk about the event and her recollections of Dr. King and growing up in Louisiana
