Donations needed to support first responders and local families

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The CBJ continues to accept donations to help the community respond to COVID-19.

    The Volunteer and Community Collaboration Task Force is accepting donations of Tyvek coveralls, safety glasses and goggles, gloves, nitrile and latex, masks and respirators N95, bleach, hand soap, hand sanitizer, Clorox or Lysol wipes, and thermometers

    The CBJ said it is working to ensure an adequate supply of personal protective equipment and other critical supplies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

    The donations will go to Bartlett Regional Hospital, Capital City Fire Rescue, the Juneau Police Department and other first responders in the communities.  Cleaning supplies will be distributed to local families and individuals.

    You can also donate cash to the Southeast Alaska Food Bank or the United Way of Southeast Alaska's COVID-19 response fund.
