Troopers made arrest for drugs

    Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) A traffic stop resulted in the seizure of heroin and methamphetamine.

    Alaska State Troopers said they stopped a Nissan X-Terra in the 3600 block of Tongass Avenue for a moving violation.

    Jessica Gaube, 26, was found in possession of drug paraphernalia, one gram of methamphetamine and 22 grams of heroin.  Troopers reported the drugs were worth an estimated $12,000.

    Troopers said Gaube was charged with misconduct involving a controlled substance in the second degree and misconduct involving a controlled substance in the third degree.

    Gaube was held at the Ketchikan Correctional Center to await a court appearance.

    Ketchikan Police assisted in the arrest.
