Craig confirms fourth case of COVID-19

    Craig, Alaska (KINY) - An out of state worker tested positive for COVID-19 and is now in isolation as Public Health Officials investigate who the individual had contact with.

    Public Health Officials said this patient got the virus after they had contact with another Craig COVID-19 case.

    There are currently six confirmed cases on Prince of Wales Island and five are now classified as recovered.

    The Craig Emergency Operations Center urged the community to follow all health mandates and advisories to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

    These measures include social distancing at all times, keeping all trips for essential services to a minimum, wear a mask when making essential service trips, and washing your hands as much as possible.

    Anyone with symptoms or who have a temperature of at least 100.4 degrees are advised to contact your health care provider and self-isolate immediately.
