COVID case count for July 29 and 30

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Twenty-two new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Juneau for July 29 and 30. Three of that number are non-residents.

    There are currently 95 active cases in Juneau.

    Throughout the state, 585 new people were identified with the virus for that same time period. Also in that time, three more deaths were reported. Two of them are recent and one is from May. They include a female resident in her 50s and a male resident in his 40s, both of Anchorage, and a male resident in his 70s from Palmer.

    Starting Monday, COVID case counts will return to being reported five times a week in Juneau.
