COVID-19 cases rise in urban centers, western Alaska

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The number of COVID-19 cases in Alaska has risen to 213 as of Tuesday afternoon.

    That's an increase of 22 over Monday.

    The new cases were split among Anchorage (10), Fairbanks (11) and Bethel (1).

    There are still just 14 cases in Juneau and 14 cases in Ketchikan. One new case was reported this week in Petersburg.

    A total of six deaths are attributed to the virus statewide.

    A total of 23 hospitalizations have been reported.
