COVID-19 cases continue to rise

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - An additional 15 cases of COVID-19 were reported in Alaska Sunday.

    Juneau has 16 cases, Ketchikan 15 cases, Petersburg two cases, and Craig one case.

    The state reported 127 cases in Anchorage.

    66 patients have recovered, 31 remain hospitalized, and eight people have died from the virus.

    The state reported 20 percent of the cases are in the 30-39 age group.  Another 20 percent of cases are of patients between 50 and 59 years of age.

    Over 8,000 Alaskans have now been tested by the disease.
