COVID-19 cases continue to mount

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The daily report from the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services found 25 new cases of Alaska residents and 19 new cases of non-residents on Thursday.

    The report showed new cases in Anchorage, the Kenai Peninsula, the Fairbanks Northstar Borough, Palmer, Wasilla, and Bethel.

    The state also reported nearly 100,000 tests have been administered.

    The total cases of Alaska residents are 816 and the total of non-residents who've tested positive is 157.

    There have been 82 resident cases and 23 non-resident cases in Southeast Alaska.

    The report showed two new non-resident cases in Wrangell.

    The report went on to show 513 recovered cases, 65 hospitalized, and 12 deaths.

    There are currently 14 people either hospitalized or considered a person under investigation for having the virus.
