Congressman Young leads in fundraising

Washington, DC (KINY) Republican U.S Rep. Don Young holds an edge over his democratic opponents when it comes to campaign cash on hand.

The Federal Election Commission website showed that Independent House candidate Alyse Galvin has raised more than $280,000 over the first three months of the year and has $200,000 on hand.  Young reported contributions of just over $100,000 between January and March of this year.  He has nearly $465,000 cash on hand.

Young is the longest serving member in the house.

There were no quarterly financial reports listed for two democrats, Dimitri Shein and Gregory Jones who are running for the job.
