Coast Guard investigating drugs

Kodiak, Alaska (KINY) Agency personnel are under investigation for alleged illegal activity.

The Kodiak Daily Mirror said all of the members allegedly involved have been removed from active duty as the investigation proceeds.

Lt. Cmdr Raymond Reichl said the means they will not take part in security watches, pollution responses or duties on aircraft, small boats or cutters.

Reichl said the investigation is expected to last several weeks.  They do not expect a reduction in manpower to affect any of the agencies search and rescue operations or other duties.

He did not go into specifics about the allegations
