CNN questioned at airport

Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) The Ketchikan Gateway Borough voted 5-1 to keep the TV channel on CNN.

Assembly member Rodney Dial said he had heard complaints about the political nature of CNN's news content.  He told his colleagues at their regular meeting that TV programming at the airport should be non-political in nature or in the case of news broadcasts.

Airport Manager Mike Carney said CNN airport programming is specifically designed for airports because it screens graphic or sexual content and also provides sports and entertainment programming.  He said there is no other network that provides those services to airports in the country.
