Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting seven new individuals identified with COVID-19.
Six are residents and one is a nonresident.
Of the resident cases, Public Health is attributing one case to secondary transmission and the rest are under investigation.
The secondary resident case is associated with the cluster at a small Juneau business, bringing the cluster total to 11, including five recovered.
The nonresident case is in the mining sector.
There are 23 active cases in Juneau.
All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation.
Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reports 149 new people identified with COVID-19.
138 are residents and 11 are nonresidents.
The state also reports two deaths, a female Anchorage resident in her 80s and a male Anchorage resident in his 90s who died out of state, bringing the total number of resident deaths to 301.
