Christmas Tree recycling on Jan. 7th and 8th

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) The Juneau Household Hazardous Waste Facility will have an opportunity to recycle your tree

    The Juneau Household Hazardous Waste facility is holding the tree recycling at 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 8th and 9th.

    The city says to take an immediate right as you enter the landfill and look for the trees.

    Trees must be shorter than 9 feet, less than 6 inches in diameter at the base, and free of decorations or other foreign materials, including lights, tinsel, ornaments, stands. They are not accepting wreaths.

    The trees will be chipped and used at Eaglecrest for trail maintenance.
