Christmas tree cutting policy outlined by CBJ

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The City and Borough of Juneau has spelled out its Christmas Tree cutting policy.

One live tree per household is allowed each year from municipal land.  Trees can be harvested between December 1 and December 25.

Trees must be cut at ground level and discarded branches must be scattered around the site.  Trees may not be harvested from municipal lands that are used for parks, recreation sites, scenic corridors, schools, residential subdivisions, or public facilities or from any muskeg areas or regions outside of the CBJ Wood Cutting Area Map.   (https://juneau.org/newsroom-item/christmas-tree-policy)
