Kwethluk, Alaska (KINY) Alaska State Troopers said the 16 year old girl's hands were tied and she was dragged along a gravel road after she refused to come home.
Troopers reported Varlaam Jackson, 54, was charged with first degree assault in the incident.
Troopers added that the female will undergo several surgeries from serious injuries she sustained while being dragged home by the ATV. Troopers went on to say that Jackson had tried to get the female to return home and when she didn't listen, he bound her hands with rope to the rack of the ATV and then proceeded to drag her home on the gravel road.
She was airlifted to Anchorage for medical treatment. Alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
Mr. Jackson was held at the Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center to await a court appearance.
