Charter school contract for next year okayed by School Board

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Juneau School Board acted on one matter at its meeting Tuesday and introduced another topic

That's according to Chief of Staff Kristin Bartlett who said the action item involved the annual contract for the Juneau Community Charter School which was approved.

The added action item involved the consideration of a proposal to allow non-district students who had previously been enrolled in the district when schools shut down in early 2020 but left to attend other home schools, to walk in the district graduation ceremonies in 2021.

The board will take up the proposal in second reading during a special meeting that will be scheduled for Saturday, April 24.  A board retreat is scheduled that same day.

That is the same day a board retreat is scheduled.

Meeting links are available on the district's website.
