CCFR, Mt. Roberts Tram crew assist crashed paraglider

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Capital City Fire Rescue responded to the area above the Mt. Roberts Tramway to assist an individual who apparently crashed a paraglider.

    First responders made it to the area of the Mt. Roberts Tramway for a rescue operation just after 8:15 p.m. on Thursday regarding a paraglider that crashed beneath the cross.

    Scanner traffic indicated that the individual was not hurt but required assistance to get off the mountain.

    According to CCFR, Mt. Roberts Tramway personnel helped get crews to the area.

    Crews were able to get the individual to the bottom of the trail by 10:35 p.m. Crews evaluated the individual at that time.
