CBJ reports more than a dozen new COVID-19 cases

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting more than a dozen new COVID-19 cases.

    According to the CBJ, there are 17 new cases of residents with COVID-19.

    Public Health is attributing eight of the cases to secondary transmission, two are related to out-of-state travel, and the rest are under investigation.

    The Mendenhall Auto Center cluster is currently at 46 cases – 21 are active and 25 have recovered.

    The cluster associated with Juneau’s vulnerable/unsheltered population is still at 93 cases – five cases are active, 88 have recovered.

    There are 72 active cases in Juneau and 648 individuals have recovered.

    There are currently two people with COVID-19 hospitalized at Bartlett Regional Hospital.
