CBJ and State reports COVID case count

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting four individuals identified with COVID-19 in Juneau.

    Two are residents and two are nonresidents.

    Public Health is attributing the two resident cases to community spread.

    One of the nonresident cases is new; the other is an older case not previously reported.

    Both nonresidents are from the mining sector.

    Statewide, the Department of Health and Social Services today reports 290 new people identified with COVID-19.

    262 are residents and 28 are nonresidents.

    As for statewide vaccinations, 72,145 people have received their first dose and 16,186 have completed both doses.
