Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Due to extreme weather conditions, all City and Borough of Juneau offices and facilities closed at 1:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, Mar. 1.

Affected facilities include City Hall, Juneau Public Libraries, Juneau-Douglas City Museum, RecycleWorks, Juneau Pools, Dimond Park Field House, Treadwell Arena, and Zach Gordon Youth Center.

Juneau School District facilities will also close early this afternoon. Closing times vary according to school age group. For details, visit juneauschools.org.

Please use extreme caution while driving and avoid unnecessary travel whenever possible for the safety of yourself and others.

Please note that today Capital Transit is running on winter routes, with service suspended on Cordova Street, Franklin and Fourth Street downtown. For more information, visit juneaucapitaltransit.org.
