Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The City and Borough of Juneau is sponsoring free asymptomatic COVID-19 testing through Jan. 10 with the exception of New Year's Day.
Testing will be offered at the Capitol City Fire/Rescue Hagevig Training Center, 2061 Sherwood Lane, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. To register, visit juneau.org/covid-19/testing
The free testing event started Dec. 30. "We've already had 172 people take advantage of it," said Juneau Mayor Beth Weldon in an interview with KINY on Thursday.
Weldon adds that if you are experiencing any symptoms, call the COVID-19 Screening Hotline number at 586-6000 to arrange a test. The hotline is available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, but will be extended to 6 p.m. until Jan. 10.
