CBJ economic stabilization meeting nets big public response

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - There was so much interest in the first meeting of the Mayor's Economic Stabilization Task Force that some members of the public couldn’t get on the conference call.

The group heard a presentation on the CBJ financial picture and listened to the need for rental assistance in Juneau from chief housing officer Scott Ciambor.

Each member of the task force also got a chance to talk about their qualifications and interests in serving on the panel.

The group includes two former Mayors Bruce Botelho and Ken Koelsch.

The city clerks office says they plan to work on accommodating all of the public’s interest in the issue to avoid future access problems.
