CBJ Assembly to hold special meeting today

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Assembly will ask residents to hunker down in place.

The resolution up for consideration would order people to stay home as much as possible, order non-critical businesses to close to the public, and order critical businesses that stay open to comply with social distancing guidelines as much as possible.

These steps would expire in two weeks.

A second resolution would require people that travel into the CBJ by plane or boat from outside Alaska or from a community with a confirmed case of COVID-19 to self-quarantine for 14 days.

The Assembly meeting is scheduled for 10 am at City Hall.  It will be broadcast live on Facebook and the CBJ website.
