Case of grounded tugboat updated on Action Line

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The derelict tugboat Lumberman remains aground on state tidelands in Gastineau Channel after breaking its anchor while on CBJ tidelands floating into state waters some time back.

CBJ Harbormaster Dave Borg provided an update on Action Line Wednesday.  He said the state has issued a trespass notice.

He said the estimated  cost for removing the vessel is pegged at $200,000.  That would involve towing it  to Hoonah where it would be cut up.
