Car fire could be work of arsonist

    Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) Alaska State Troopers have asked for help from the public in an investigation of a car fire.

    A dispatch from Alaska State Troopers stated they received a report of a car on fire near mile 8 of the North Tongass Highway at 1:15 pm on October 29.  When they arrived Troopers and firemen found the abandoned vehicle had been set on fire.

    Troopers went on to report that the North Tongass Volunteer Fire Department was notified and was able to extinguish the fire without difficulty.  There was no report of any injury.
