
Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A 23-year-old from Washington State was identified as the climber who died Friday after a fall on the Mendenhall Towers.
Bryson Allen fell on the Juneau Ice Field when a rappel on his anchor released and he fell approximately 20-30 feet to a ledge below.
Capital City Fire Rescue said they were able to revive the man after he was delivered to the airport by a US Coast Guard helicopter.
Two other climbers, Isaac Hardy, 25, of New York and Bowen Schwanke, 24, of Juneau were not injured.
