Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The CBJ Assembly approved changes in the way they conduct meetings in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.
All members of the Assembly can decide to participate in the meeting by telephone and no more than 10 people can be in the city hall chambers when the meeting is held. If the mayor decides to participate by phone the assembly meeting will be presided over by the deputy mayor.
Public comment is encouraged through email or telephone.
The committees, boards, and commissions of the City and Borough of Juneau shall only hold meetings for essential agenda items. Non-essential agenda items must be delayed. Essential items can include time-sensitive permit decisions, legislation, appropriation matters, continuity of operation matters, and public health matters.
