Assembly hears from students

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A group of YDHS students urged the Assembly to upgrade the school facility.

Yaakoosgé Daakahidi High School students asked for new lockers, a commons area, and improved meals.

Students also asked for a Driver's Education Course and help with general life skills.

They said they would also like a dedicated bus so they don't have to take Capital Transit to get to school.

Max Wheat said students feel forgotten.  He said they have visited Site Councils for support to no avail.

The school currently has 90 students.
