Juneau, ALASKA (KINY) - An Anchorage man perished in the crash of a small plane near the Yentan River Saturday.
An Alaska State Trooper dispatch says the Rescue Coordination Center was notified at about 2 p.m. that day.
The sole occupant of the plane was 75 year old Donald Wayne Frantz.
State Troopers and Talkeetna Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and transported the remains to Lake Hood in Anchorage where they were turned over to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
The National Transportation Safety Board was notified and the investigation continues.
