Anchorage couple indicted for fentanyl overdose of six-month-old infant

    Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) - On Tuesday, an Anchorage grand jury indicted Albert A. Clark and Eike M. Larson on a lead charge of assault in the first degree.

    On Jan. 14, 2023, the couple is alleged to have caused serious physical injury to their infant son, while using illegal substances.  He was found by the couple unresponsive and rushed to the emergency room where he was given Narcan and tested positive for fentanyl in a near-fatal overdose.

    The defendants were arraigned in Superior Court Friday, and their bail remains set at $150 unsecured.  Assault in the first degree carries a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in jail.

    The defendants are presumed innocent of all charges unless and until proven guilty.
