Alaska State Troopers make 3 arrests in Ketchikan

    Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) - It was a busy Friday in Ketchikan for Troopers as they made three arrests in separate incidents.

    On Friday at about 10 p.m., Troopers contacted Clarence York, age 58 of Ketchikan, near 11385 North Tongass Highway.

    York was found violating a domestic violence protective order by being in contact with a victim and other family members. Further investigation revealed that York was also violating current conditions of release set by the Ketchikan Courthouse reference the original charge of Assault in the 4th Degree and Resisting Arrest. 

    The previous day, on Thursday, May 7, Troopers received a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on Higgins Spur Road. 

    Investigation revealed that David Vest, age 43, physically assaulted a family member. Vest was also found to be on current conditions of release for an original charge of Assault in the 4th Degree. Upon the arrival of Troopers, Vest barricaded himself inside his residence and would not open the door. 

    On Friday, Troopers obtained an arrest warrant for Vest and he was apprehended.

    Both York and Vest were transported and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with no bail.

    And at approximately 10 p.m. Friday, Troopers contacted and arrested Ezekial Roberts, age 19, at a beach near mile 11 of the North Tongass Highway. 

    Roberts had an outstanding warrant for a charge of Sexual Assault Against a Minor in the 2nd Degree. Roberts was transported and remanded to Ketchikan Correctional Center with bail set at $5,000.
