WASHINGTON D.C. (KINY) - The Alaska Congressional delegation expressed their displeasure with the Biden administration's moratorium on oil and gas lease sales in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

In a joint statement, the three Congress members rebuked President Biden's executive order.

Senator Dan Sullivan said the President was not elected to kill good-paying jobs in Alaska, while Representative Don Young called the move "disappointing."

"I am astounded to see that the Biden administration’s 'day one' priority is put our economy, jobs, and nation’s security at risk,” said Senator Lisa Murkowski.
