Airline sued over coronavirus

Washington, DC (ABC) - A class-action lawsuit whose outcome could affect thousands of airline passengers has been filed in federal court.

A customer whose flight was scuttled by the coronavirus pandemic wants his money back.

Jacob Rudolph is an officer on an eleven-member police department in Minnesota.

He bought three tickets on United for a vacation to South Carolina, but the airline canceled the flight because of the pandemic.

Rudolph was told that he'd be given credit on future travel, but said in his lawsuit that 'travel vouchers provide little security in this public crisis.'

United Airlines told ABC News that only international and some domestic passengers are eligible to get their money back.

Rudolph's suit calls that a breach of contract.
