AEL&P to Celebrate 125 Year Anniversary with Community Picnic

    Juneau, AK (KINY) - Alaska Electric Light & Power are celebrating 125 years of service by hosting a community picnic on Friday.

    The event will start at 11:30am at Cope Park on Friday, July 20th. There will be food and soft drinks, as well as walking tours to the Gold Creek Power Plant that was built in 1896. The first 125 guests will get a commemorative AEL&P and Alaskan Brewing Company Gold Creek Ale pint glass (with a limit of one per household).
