Accused killer of two in Anchorage indicted

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - An Anchorage grand jury indicted 22 year old Joseph Perkins on two counts of first degree assault. The charges stem from an incident on January 3 of this year in which Perkins is alleged to have shot two individuals in the their vehicle near the intersection of Tudor Road and the Old Seward Highway.

If convicted at trial, a release from the Alaska Department of Law says Perkins faces of up to 99 years in prison for the attempted murder charges.

Perkins is currently in jail.  Arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday, March 23.
