Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Seven new resident cases of COVID-19 were reported in Juneau and one in Douglas in the daily report from the Alaska Department of Health & Social Services released Sunday.
The report found 97 new resident cases and two new nonresident cases in Alaska.
The state went on to report 5,765 total resident cases and 891 nonresident cases.
The daily summary also showed 3,602 active resident cases and 689 presumed active nonresident cases.
It also showed 2,121 Alaska residents have recovered.
There are currently 38 people hospitalized that have tested positive for COVID-19.
The total hospitalizations during the pandemic reached 232 with 42 deaths.
The seven-day positive test result rate was 1.97 percent.
New resident cases included 44 in Anchorage, three in Kenai, one in Yakutat-Hoonah-Angoon, one in Soldotna, one in Kodiak, 13 in Fairbanks, six in North Pole, three in Palmer, two in Wasilla, one in the Nome Census Area, three in Utqiagvik, one in Douglas, seven in Juneau, three in Bristol Bay, and eight in the Bethel Census Area.
