50 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed Tuesday

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services confirmed 45 new resident cases and five new non-resident cases Tuesday morning.

    The total of resident cases rose to 3,821 and non-resident cases rose to 768.

    The daily report listed three new resident cases and one new non-resident case in Juneau.

    There was also one resident case confirmed in the Yakutat, Hoonah and Angoon area.

    The report listed 1,165 residents as recovered and 179 non-residents, as presumed, recovered.

    The report also showed 2,630 active resident cases and 589 active non-resident cases in the state.

    Testing has approached 291,000.

    The report went on to show 644 in-patient hospital beds, 77 intensive care beds, and 265 ventilators are available.
